Well, first to Wilson's mom: everyone has covered everything so well the only thing I will add is that guilt is not allowed around here. Everyone is just doing the best they can and things just go wrong, they just do sometimes. Guilt is too drainin...hey wait! I sound like a psychotherapist! Anyway, looking forward to Wilson's blog, please do keep us up to date.
Pochy, I agree with Jerry and Shanna, get Diamond back to the vet. And don't worry too much, maybe Diamond just likes being spoiled. Whatever is going on, they will fix her right up. Ask Angel, oh my gosh, her Valentina had so many problems but now she's doing great. Please let us know how it goes!

Oh, Wilsons mom, Wilson will be just fine. And you have been doing the best you can and all you can. The guilt game is a hard one not to play, our furkids cant talk , so we have to figure everything out ourselves based on so little. I could wipe myself out with the guilt game , should I have taken Cooper to the vet sooner, instead of waiting to see if his limp got better ... should I have done this or that? You love Wilson and that is obvious. Wilson is still going to be able to do so many of the things that you talked about, and if you are like most of us here, you are going to have an even closer bond with him than you ever did! And he is going to be happy and do just fine. And best of all ugly cancer isnt in the equation. Stick with this group and they will get you through this, I promise you that, there isnt a more loving caring group than here at tripawds. Good luck and give Wilson a big hug for me!

the monkeydogs only THINK they have invaded the tripawd state
Just wanted to echo...
Bud is a tripawd beacause of a femur fracture and 2 failed surgeries to fix him. My husband wanted to amputate and keep him with us. I felt guilty, didnt want to see him in any more pain and wasn't sure if this was the right decision. He did have some complications and a bit if a rough recovery from the amp surgery.
Today Bud is a little over 6 months post amp.He is back to doing all of the things he loved to do before. We do use a harness and float coat when we go the lake or mountains but he is there...on every adventure with us. He is happy....and I am grateful! Every day together is a blessing!
