Hi Yogi

Napping is good. We were more worried about all that stair hopping you were doing.

How on earth can you have a 14 inch scar when you must be about 5 inches tall? How tall are you anyway?

To post a picture, you need to first have it on another website (or a tripawds blog "they" say). I put some on Photobucket (many use UTube), where you can upload photos for free. (I am kind of ignorant about these things so I can hear admin and everyone else laughing at this description.)

When you post here, you click that tree image (which says "insert/edit image" when you scroll over it) shown above your reply. Then you write the link to the website location for your photo, which you will see in a place like Photobucket (just copy and paste the link to the website). Once you do that, your image should appear. We cannot directly upload photos from our computers to these posts, at least as far as I know. Hope this makes sense.

Correct, photos can only be uploaded to Tripawds Blogs , not the Forums. Otherwise they must be hosted somewhere else online (i.e.; PhotoBucket).

Here are the detailed instructions for embedding pictures in forum posts. If the insert/edit image button does not appear when drafting replies, change your default post editor to Rich Text / Tiny MCE.

Loved seeing the last update.  Sounds like Yogi is doing a fine job of adapting and healing.  It's funny how happy we are to see poop the first time.  There are several references in the achives where we've laughed about it.  Trouble had the disolvable stitches also, so clean and smooth and almost no scar.

Hi Sharon & Yogi,

I am joining the party a bit late as I don't visit the tripawds site as often, but I saw your post & thought I would join in the chorus.  My Lulu, a Chihuahua mutt, about 8lbs at the time of surgery also had her front leg amputated.  Her recovery was amazing, is was a beautiful thing to watch and she seemed more bouncy & happy post surgery with her big, ugly leg gone (the mast cell cancer made the leg swell to at least four times it's size).  We are lucky to be able to carry are little ones around when needed and their light weight & proximity to the ground work in their favor after an amputation.  At this point I imagine Yogi no longer has stitches and learning life on three legs is good or even better than four.   As you discovered this is an amazing site, full of support and inspiration, and if you have any questions for me (as a small dog mom), please don't hesitate to ask.

There also may be a new tripawd joining the fold here (not sure if she'll join up).  I little chihuahua now named Renny, just had his rear leg amputated due to a car accident.  He was a stray a friend of mine saw hit by a car (the people who hit him didn't even stop), she picked him up, and with great work through a rescue group found a home & raised money for the surgery.  The wanted to save the leg, but it was too damaged.  Renny's mom now may need your advice or maybe just add another little dog to the fold (it's amazing how they come in so many shapes & sizes).

Anyway, me & my little one are here for you and sending good thoughts to you & Yogi for a happy, healthy recovery.

All the best,

Stacy, Angel Lulu & Olive
