Dizzy came home minus a front leg I'm not going to lie and say it's been easy as at times it has been so hard for me emotionally. She is ok so far I watch her walk almost obsessively and try to decide if her back leg is causing problems or if it's just the way she walks now. She has had 2 lots of chemo today we got her bloods back and they the white cells have not dropped since her last lot of chemo in fact they have improved ever so slightly so 3rd chemo session next week.
As soon as chemo is over i will look at changing her diet to one recommended for dogs with cancer. But today i feel relieved that her white cells haven't dropped further.
She can walk a regular walk with the other 2 dogs and run around being bossy which she loves she hates cats more than ever and is even more stubborn when she sees one. Her wags and licks make it worthwhile
Dizzy diagnosed with osteosarcoma 24 may 2011 amputated same day doing fine hopping around on three legs giving the neighbourhood cats what for

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Go Dizzy Go!
The transition isn't easy for humans but for us dawgs, it's all about getting back to the serious business of chasing cats! Now go have fun.
