My 10 year old Rat Terrier, Sadie, was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma on her rear left leg near her paw in Feb 2013. We originally had the marble-sized tumor removed in December of 2012 and did not send it for biopsy and pathology report until February when it grew back. After consulting with our vet and and oncologist, we opted for amputation. This site gave me so much information and peace of mind. The personal stories and vast show of support made the decision so much easier. Sadie had her amputation on Feb 25, 2010 and adjusted quickly and easily to 3 legs. I am so proud of her and I know I made the right decision. I look forward to many more years with her.
