Goah, it really iS good to hear that Walkeris doing this well so early on!
And eatinb too?? YAAAAAY!!
To have him home for Christmas.....THE best gift of all!!
This early in recovery the pain could be from surgery as well as phantom. The faxt that it's such short urst probably doesn i dicate the nerves firing off causing the phantom pain . It's so hard to watch. But comforting rubs, a very gentle massage(of course, not the incision site, but some have very tenderly cupped their hand arou d the incision and that seems to help).
As Karen said, search the site and you'll see some solutions.
I had Happy Hannah on Gabapentin and Tramadol and then, if I recall, just the Gaaba later down the road.
Hang in there...this is all the "normal" part of recovery.....and it DOES get better!!
Look forward to more updates.
Hugs all the way around! Everyone is doing a great job!
