TERESA AND EURYDICE!! To see all the various continuing reasons that Miss Cow brought you here with her on this jkirney just boggles my mind!!
I'm nkt going to even address the specific situations involving HANDSOME ARCHA and the BEAUTW FLO!! 🙂 🙂 These dogs are voth stunning in their own individual MAGNIFICENT way!! 🙂 Others have given such great advice and support.
My focus right nowmis how incredibly luck Archa and Flo are ro have you and Eurydice guiding them in this journey. I KNOW your knowledge and your optimism will see them through as they navigate all the complexities involved.
You are their Earth Angel and Eurydice is their Guardian Angel Of course, you have Pedro and Woody as their office Cheerleaders! 🙂 And that is an UNSTOPPABLE team!! 🙂
Make no miste about it Teresa, you and Eurydice are continuing to make a huge difference in all the lives to have touched, and continue to touch!
ALWAYS
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I’m so relieved for Archa’s Mum! Nobody wants to take their babies leg, but if it can prolong their life so that they can be hoppy and pain free, they’ll take it! They just want to live life as they know it... minute to minute.... they don’t even have the vurden of knowing about tomorrow’s, I wish sometimes that I could be so innocently naive, but we have to be careful what we wish for!
My wish for you Teresa, is that you and Eurydice can find peace in what your able to extend to your friends.... a certain and knowledgeable support and an absolutely brilliant friend! You both deserve so much love!
Please extend our caring hugs to all the pawrents and huge hugs for Flo and Archer!
Sloppy kisses from Stewie👅❤️🐕 🐾
& all the very best from his adoring pack,

Hey Rene 🌺
Thank you so much for the info, you always provide such precious help for all of us!
ARCHA:
I watched the video and passed on the info to Cathy who was as surprised as I was to hear chemo is of no use with this type of cancer.
Spoke to her today, she heard from her oncologist and she is still coming up with treatment options for Archa.
It is really reassuring she doesn't feel the need of seeing him instantly and can take time to reflect on what to propose.
FLO:
Archa's oncologist is treating Flo too and, in her case, she produced a range of options immediately due to it being osteo, where each second counts.
Flo's Mom decided to go with phosphosnates which she started yesterday.
Flo is taking these meds on a daily basis:
Tramadol (opioid pain medication)
Previcox (anti inflammatory)
Alendronate (bisphosphonate)
Gabapentin (pain inhibitor) used only if needed
She was told to go back to hospital if Flo showed any sign of vomiting, loss of appetite or difficulty swallowing (most common side effect is problems with the esophagus)
Will keep you posted on the progress.

Hey Sally, sweetheart 💗
Thank you so very much for your wonderful words 😍
To tell you the truth I would much rather not be doing this and not knowing about this fantastic site only because that would mean me and Miss Cow would not have needed to be here in the first place ...
But as this was meant to be, now I am forever determined to investigate, investigate, investigate and help as many as I can with the knowledge and experience and precious help and advice of other members.
Although my beloved baby is no longer fisically here, she is guiding me every day and I feel very optimistic things can only get better as more progress is constantly made 🔬💡💡💡
Miss Cow is sending you a huuuuuuuuuge slobbery kiss and tons of love from Mom too
😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Hey Petra 🌺
Thank you so much for rooting for these babies and their Moms☺️

Hey everybody 🌺
Some further news:
ARCHA:
Metronomics:
Having read pretty much everywhere that chemo doesn't work with chondrosarcoma I was surprised to hear his oncologist at Lyon Hospital recommended he starts a treatment of metronomic therapy.
This consists on a daily dose of Endoxan (cyclophosphamide) plus Tramadol twice a day for the pain.
I was told when Eurydice did it, metronomics combines chemo, anti inflammatory and antibiotic drugs to try and achieve the full antigenesis "effect" but in Archa's case he is only taking the chemotherapy drug.
I wish I knew why they are advising the one chemo drug only in his case, Cathy did not know they use a combination of drugs in osteo's case so she didn't ask.
In any case, he will have a blood test in a couple of weeks and is due for a revaluation appointment 1 month from now.
Cannabis:
Cathy asked me to please check whether any of you who used Cannabis pills knew whether it can be used when a dog is on chemo or not.
She is considering it, and even if it is illegal in France she can buy it in Germany and get it shipped in.
FLO:
I haven't been updated directly by Flo's Mom but Archa's Mom (who sees the same oncologist in Lyon) told me today she is now on Endoxan too.
I am not sure whether she stopped bisphosphonates or added metronomics to it.
Will let you know if I find out.
Thank so much for your precious advice and for rooting for Archa and Flo 😘😘😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🐮

AND THANK YOU MISS COW AND TERESA FOR KEEPING US UPDATED!!
It is very interesting to hear the different approaches being taken. Just kind of reinforces nothing is written in stone when it comes to trying to figure out the best treatment for a vicious disease that still has so many secrets yet to be discovered.
Give our love to Archa and Flo from their Fan Club in the U.S. And save some love for yiurself 🙂
Hugs

Hey everybody:
Here's the update on our fur friends.
FLO:
Apparently her oncologist in Lyon decided to stop everything and start metronomic therapy.
I have to say if it was Eurydice, I would look for a second opinion as I do not feel confident in Flo (and Archa's) oncologist.
The fact Flo's Mom is not accepting the amputation option (she is really not prepared to have a dog "on 3 legs" even if she was eventually advised by vet and orthopaedic surgeon) and as a consequence Flo is enduring unnecessary pain doesn't help either and on top her primary tumour was very large a couple of months ago so now I don't dare thinking how big it became...
When Flo's Mom approached the oncologist to ask why her advise is metronomics and not carboplatin she snapped and was "deeply offended" she would even question her decision.
Thing is, in a cancer journey there should be no place for egos, everybody, pawrents and oncologists should work together for the benefit of our pets.
I do apologise for the rant, it is just I feel terribly frustrated knowing this poor dog could have a painfree life and as is does not.
ARCHA:
Her Mom has been enduring a lot lately...
Archa woke up one day and his face was totally swollen, she rushed him to the vet and he had a cortisone infection there and then.
Next day (and for the next 3 days) Archa was bleeding from his mouth and his eyes ...
During this ordeal, the vet found out he had a big infection in one of his teeth so they stopped chemo and he was on antibiotic for 6 days.
When he finally recovered, his Mom decided not to go back to bisphosphonates and replace it by a gel called Mena K7 plus vitamins K2 and K3.
(sorry, I don't know how I highlighted the sentence above, I didn't mean to)
This is used with humans suffering from osteoporosis.
I have never heard of this before so look forward to seeing how it helps Archa in the future.
Sending all a big hug and cuddles 😘😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Hi Teresa
wow, you’re friends are enduring a lot with their fur babies! I’m very sorry to hear this!
in regards to Flo, I’m sorry that you are hearing choices made, that you would not make yourself. You are more than qualified to rant! Rant away my dear! Not too many people could possibly understand your frustrations and may possibly think you are rude for saying! Pah!!! In their face right?!
I am not even able to fathom the pain that Flo May be suffering!!! Isn’t two months quite a bit more than is the norm for no treatment, except palliative care! I really don’t know, except from what our vet told us and from what I have read here? Is it possible that Flos Pain is under really good control? I guess we can only hope so! Flos’ Mum must be having a heck of a time coming to terms with all that is being thrown at her! My prayers are with them both. You’re right there is no place for egos of any sort, especially when someone is needing and looking for answers and guidance!
And dear Archa!!! Poor boy! Poor Mama! I can’t imagine the horror that she went through! My hope is that the Mena K7Plus, is far more in tune with his system and can improve his situation.
Wow, your friends and their fur babies have been through a lot! Sorry I can’t offer any enlightening information, but I can sure send lots of love and healing thoughts to them all across the miles!
Thanks for caring so Much Teresa! feel free to rant... it’s much better than snapping at either parent, plus you don’t have to hold on to it by yourself!
Take care, Petra & Super Stu!
Hi Petra 🌺
Thank you for understanding my rant ... and yes, two months is a loooong time with an osteo tumour the size of Flo's ...
Just watched a video her Mom published on FB and my heart sunk 💔 at seeing this poor baby who doesn't even touch the ground with her horribly painful leg, she is just dragging the leg around 😔
She also has difficulty standing up but of course she does, it is excruciating pain we are talking about here.
I always restrain myself from issuing judgemental comments but in this case I know the dog and her Mom knew Eurydice and was always pro amputation until it hit home.
I am only human therefore not perfect I simply cannot deal with this.
So, I won't be publishing on this particular case any longer and will instead focus on others who I and Angel Eurydice may be able to help and who are prepared to place the wellbeing of their babies first (even if amputation is really not possible)
I suppose having gone through my own baby's journey so recently got me more sensitive than I thought ...
I promise to refrain from judgemental comments from now on, this was my one and only exception.
Sending you a big kiss, sweet Petra and lots of cuddles to cutie boy 😘😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Teresa! You are not rambling and you are not veing judgemental! You ARE veing caring and concerned and compassionate! You are staying true to your core beliefs. You've gained so much knowledge on this journey a d you've done your research.
We all certainly jnderstw why you need to give your energy, and Eurydice's energy to those who are receptive. And who knows, maybe something will click with Flo's Mom and she'll change her approach to abe more pro-active one.
You are suchj a dear Soul Teresa. You really are

It feels wonderful to know you (and Petra) understand my feelings and thoughts vis a vis this beautiful girl who is doomed to a painful ending.
We all take care of our tripawdian family, right?
Thank you so much for having lent me your shoulders so I could rest my head there and shed tears for poor sweet Flo.
Now I can move on, hand in paw with my adored Angel Eurydice 😘😘😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
