Jonette, I'm sorry for the diagnosis. Do you mean she has osteosarcoma? I'm thinking that's the case based on your post. If so, yes, 1 year is the average life expectancy with chemo, but try not to get hung up on that number. Many dogs outlive the prognosis and defy the odds. Our own Jerry lived two extra bonus years after his osteosarcoma diagnosis and many dogs have had even longer bonus time.

How does your vet feel about her candidacy as a Tripawd? The Megasophagus Addison's shouldn't be a factor that plays into her mobility on three, but any severe orthopedic issues might be. The best way to make a decision you can feel good about is to have an orthopedic vet take a look at her. If your vet hasn't referred you to one, be sure to ask.
