UPDATE
Oh I dont even know how to start this.....Ty became an angel last saturday. He was able to spend christmas at home but things started going downhill after the new year. He went peacefully and was with the two people he loved the most; my boyfriend and his brother. Needless to say that this has been very tough on all of us. He is missed everyday.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about Ty. Please accept our condolences and hugs. You all really gave it everything you had to give him a happy, loving home, right up to the end. He is now an angel, but his spirit will always be strong in your heart.
Heaven has another doggy angel watching over us. This has been a really difficult week here at Tripawds, we've lost a lot of beautiful pups all of a sudden. I know that Ty is out there with all of our Tripawd heroes, running free and having a ball.
I'm so sorry you are grieving for your sweet boy.
We love you Ty, now and forever.

Boy, that Ty is beautiful. I had my 5 yr old Weims front leg amputated about 25 days ago. She doesn't have arthritis so I didn't have to worry about that but I was really concerned about her pain and her injuring that bad leg. An osteosarcoma leaves the bone weak and I had visions of a pathologic fx while I was at work and she was outside in her pen. So I didn't hesitate to have her leg amputated. Now she is pain free and doing great. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
I'm so sorry Ty reached the end of his journey. I could tell from your posts how much you guys loved him- and that makes for a perfect dog life.
Ty never officially became a Tripawd, but you all are part of our family now. Condolences to you and your whole pack.

I am very sorry to hear of Ty's passing. It seems as if we have had so much loss lately. But the one thing we have not lost - and never will lose - are the memories we have of all of these special dogs. Ty was beautiful, strong and his precious soul just shined in those eyes. Please know that he will never be forgotten. Hugs...

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

I don't know that I've ever seen a more beautiful, noble pit than your Ty. I know you're hurting so much right now and I wish I could help. Ty was determined and gave you all as much extra time as he could. You helped him find his wings when it was too much for him to continue and did not make him stay and hurt, and that's the greatest gift you can give.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
Ty is a beautiful dog. I know this is a very hard time for you, but please know there are a lot of folk here who will be thinking about you and sending good thoughts as you begin to adjust to your new normal. Those first few days without them is so hard.
RIP sweet Ty. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
