Tank finally went to the bathroom! It's been 4 days since the surgery and he is doing great! He has his moments the stitches are starting to itch and he has been licking the spot where his iv was. We called our vet and she said everything he is doing is normal and just to use a cold compress on the paw. It worked and he likes the compress. His appetite never was an issue he has been eating and drinking without hesitation. He is starting to lift his leg slowly to use the bathroom. I am amazed at how he just adapted to three legs. We can really learn a lot from our dogs!
Hooray for first poop! Time to do the Happy Hoppy First Post-Op Poop Dance!
(We celebrate weird things like this around here...) Treats all around!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
