I'm in Winchester which is about 2 1/2 hours from Richmond, so not too far away. I can't figure out how to add pictures to the posts - I watched the help video but don't seem to have the same buttons/options.
Anya's vet appointment is today at 2pm ~ I'm trying to stay positive but I'm preparing for bad news. She's definitely not acting like herself.
Saying prayers for you both today, please keep us posted.
Your pictures have to be already on the internet to be able to post them. The easiest way I have found is to sign up for a photobucket account (photobucket.com). Then you click on the "upload" button and can just drag and drop your pictures there. Once you have your pictures uploaded, you just click on whatever picture you want to share and to the right of it you'll see this:
Then click on the one that says "direct" (it'll automatically copy the url), open up your reply on tripawds and click on the top button that looks like a moon with mountains and in the "source" box just hit "paste" and "ok". That should do the trick.

Keeping all paws crossed for Anya!
I know all this blankety blank rain cannot be helping her attitude either! Nobody is havi g a "good day" with all this monsoon type weather!
Even though the pain meds have helped with her pain hopefully, they can make her feel a little blah too.
Update when you can.
Sending lots of love!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
You can also ask about denamarin for her liver. I'm not sure if it helps once her liver is already having problems or not, but I know that they put Murphy on it when he went through his chemo to help protect his liver.
Hopefully you'll be able to get some answers today.

The Help videos are all about how to use the Tripawds blogs dashboard. You are likely referring to the video about using the Media Library, which you can use if you start a free blog.
Here are detailed steps for adding photos to forum posts .
Hope this helps!

Hi, sorry for what you and Anya are going through, but you've found the best place on earth to help you with this. denamarin does help with liver regeneration - my westie took it for a month and his liver values went back to normal, so that's something to think about. As for the difficult decision you're about to make, get all the info you can, and follow your heart. My Dobe was almost 9 and 90 lbs when he had his amputation...it's now 15 months later, he will be 10 on Halloween and is doing great. Good luck and let us know what you find out/decide.
Paula and Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Wow...you and Anya sure have been caught up in a whirlwind!! I'm just catching up on all the posts and I'm so sorry that you both are having to go through this. I'll send up a prayer that you're able to come up with a plan of action for Anya soon with the doctors...I think you'll find your emotions will settle some once you know how best to help Anya.
And you live in Winchester, VA...I grew up in Winchester and currently reside in Martinsburg, WV. That's a great thing about this community...it brings so many people together to lend support and sometimes we meet somebody new who just lives a hop, skip, and jump from us.
I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts while you're waiting to meet with the various doctors.
Hang in there!

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
Any updates on Anya? We hope all is well.

Jerry let me know that your sweet pup is in a similar situation to mine, Roscoe! However, Roscoe is only 3 and has a grade 2. Before we found out it was grade 2, I did a lot of research on grade 3 STS. I read that amputation plus metronomic chemotherapy (low-dose chemo and anti inflammatory meds) and sometimes metronomic chemo by itself has had good results: Research Article on Metronomic Chemo. Another useful article: Metro-chemo article 2. Maybe your oncologist will have some more ideas about this as opposed to extreme surgery!!
So sorry you are going through this! Stay positive and feel free to reach out to me whenever! Love to Anya 🙂
Sincerely,
Kristin & Roscoe
