Thank you everyone for all that you have shared here. I am pretty sure what I need to do now...
My cat Isis has now had two surguries to remove a growth on the inside of her hind leg. I do not remember what type of growth it is, just that it keeps coming back.
Last week I took her to the vet for another surgury and the vet called and said that there is nothing else they can do. I could either let her live out the rest of her time...or amputate. As you all know, I have had a tough time with this. Reading what everyone else has been through has made so much of a difference.
The date has not been set yet. I am waiting until the holiday rush is over.
This is a video of Isis playing in her favorite bush:

Hi and welcome - please let me know whatever questions you may have as you begin your journey with Isis. My Jill (also a rear leg kitty amputee) is now exactly two weeks post amputation.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found us. There's not a lot of kitties here but we love them the same. There's always people to help and there's also vets kicking around.
