Yeah, some dogs don't have much of an appetite at first. Try some stinky liverwurst, the stinker the better. Macaroni and cheese works sometimes too.
Curious what lain meds the vet sent you home with.
And now your Rottie has to jave surgery?? Crazy!!! Is there any hope at all that this could be handled with extreme rest and anti-inflammatory? Guess Im just wishing you didn't have to deal with this right now..or later either!
Hang in there! Stay connected! Can't wait to see the photos!
Hugs to all!

Day 3 after op and Phoebe is wagging her tail and trying to run nearly pulling our arm holding her back. Appetite returning and we've not had one trip or fall, it's like she's always had 3 legs 😀

What a fantastic update! And only 3 days out? YAAAY!
Do your best to keep her calm and mellow, it's the best way to avoid muscle pulls and spills early on. Remember, as energetic as she is, her body is still trying to adapt to using muscles in a new way, so she'll need time to work up to that. Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend!

Hi everyone, advice please
Phoebe doing great, wound looks fab 😄
just one question, Phoebe pooped the day she came home from vets after op but hasn't pooped since?? Should we be concerned? We have appt at vets tomorrow evening to check on wound but just wondered if I'm worrying unnecessarily?
thank you

Constipation is a common side effect of most pain medication. A little bit of olive oil in Phoebe's food may help get things moving along. Be be careful what you ask for!
