What a great update! Sounds like he is doing really well.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Fantastic news! Bless him! Love the fact he's trying to sort everyone out.
Ruby, Staffy, born June 2022, became a Tripawd, November 2023, adopted January 2024.
Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Elsie Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...
BRUCE!! You better keep yourself in check Mister!!! No jumping OR humping for two weeks!
My Happy Hannah was a 125 lb Bull Mastiff (rear legger). I had a couple of old pallets and I stacked them to make gradual heights for her to use to get into the car. That probably makes zero sense...hard ro explain it!
A yway, can't wait to see pictures of Bruce and pack!
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Hi Sally - that makes perfect sense, I think right now he just lack some confidence and of course some strength in that remaining back leg. At home we are able to back my Jeep up to the steps and he can climb in, I think the idea of pallets to give him some steps in an excellent idea, we take him to work with us (we have our own business) so pallets there are an excellent idea. We have a ramp for the bulldog (Butch), but he's quite low to the ground and has been using the ramp since puppyhood, we tried it with the Bulllmastiff/shepherd (Bandit), but I think because she is so tall that the ramp is intimidating (she will use it for low inclines, but not to get into my vhehicle, it's too steep) which I think would be the same for Bruce. The business next door to us has pallets in their yard frequently, I will check with them tomorrow in regards to getting a few. Thanks so much for the idea.
Yay Bruce! OK the humping is a little crazy but it's wonderful you're doing so well!
