Hello, I haven't had a chance to welcome you and King.
I'm glad the surgery went well and he is home and getting around already.
Maybe you can give the kids the 'job' of getting King better, and right now its important that they help him rest?
What leg did King lose, front or back? I read through the thread and I didn't see it. If a front leg you might try a tee shirt to keep him clean, if a back leg you could try a pair of boxer shorts, the tail goes through the fly.
My little pug Maggie didn't poop for 5 or 6 days. The meds can be constipating. You could try a little pumpkin to get things moving if they don't on their own in a day or two.
Can you contain him to a small part of the yard for potty off leash?

WELCOME HOME KING!!
Yeah, sometimes the meds can mess up the pooping routine for a few days. But let us know when he does poop! We love to celebrate the first poop around here!
King needs his rest right now and should only be going out for potty breaks. Sorry it's so nasty and rainy outside...ugh!
Give King a snuggle for us and please keep us updated!
No place like home for hea@ing!!
Hugs!

Well king done his business this morning. He's been laying around just taking it easy. His redness and swelling seems to be going down also. I have been putting ice like they told me. A question I have is about the collar. He hates it. And has real problems with it on. Can I leave it off long as I'm able to watch him.
YAAAAAAAAAY FOR DOING BUSINESS!!!! HAPPY POTTY DANCING IN TRIPAWD LAND!!!
I was lucky in that my Happy Hannah never needed a cone. She never pulled or scratched at her stitches. Some dogs do...so e don't.
I would definitely take the cone off while you are around to watch him. He will feel so mich better.
Glad the incision is looking good so early on. Recovery is indeed ruff, but when it's over, no holding him back!!
Thanks for the update!
Hugs to all!
