Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. She is surely a cutie! Same coloring as my mastiff. I love the pic with her and the little one sitting on her, that is priceless 🙂 I am glad to read she is doing well. Keep up the good recovery!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Did not mean to drop off the map. My dang computer just died a month ago or so and I just got it repaired. Thank you all for your support and advice! Maggie is doing absolutely fantastic. She seems so much more spirited and happy since the amputation. She is all healed up and we have had no snags or set-backs at all. She has adapted BIG TIME. I guess that cancer must have hurt something awful, because she seems so much happier. Man, I guess dogs are tough, cause even when she hurt so bad she had so much patience and love for the kids and other animals. Just a great dog I guess. She is a beauty!! Thanks to you all again.
Ben
So glad to hear Maggie's doing so well. These dogs are definitely amazing, resilient creatures!

We just love updates like this! It's truly something when you realize how much pain your dog was in, after the surgery is over. The recovery sure is easy compared to living with slowly deteriorating bone.
Congrats on smooth sailing ahead.

Hooray for good updates! Love to hear how great the pups are doing once they get rid of that painful ol' leg and recover from the surgery.
Enjoy every moment with her!
