LOL! Well, we know who is queen of the castle.
Happy everything is going well. You will see that Lacey will do everything she did before but in her way.
Before you get time to do a blog it is simple to post video. Just copy the link and post in your forum.
I think Lacey has this, but I'm not surprised, she is a lab. Lol
Keep us posted. Looking forward to see photos/videos.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Hahaha......and this is why we say it is impossible NOT to spoil a tripawd! Soon you'll be sitting on the floor while she's on the sofa snuggling on the cushions. Tripawds have a way of getting what they want!
My wife screaming “ move so she can have the space she wants”…. LOL
Really glad she had an uneventful night! Keep on keepin' on aweet Lacy!
Hugs

Hi Rob,
Yes this is really normal, we often see dogs have a crash like this a few days after surgery. It's as if their body catches up with their brain, which still feels invincible. Stay to her pain medication schedule and see how it goes tonight and tomorrow. As always if you're suspicious it's more than being tired (for instance, if she stops taking in water), then let your vet know asap.
P.S. Thank you so so much for your super generous gift! Just saw it come in today, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Hi, just wanted to add same thing happened to Brownie. The first two days he was home he was fine but then he started just laying around and really not interested in eating. Even though Brownie was 90 lbs he was a light weight when it came to meds. Once all the meds left his system he was Brownie again.
The best advise I got was to be patient so I am giving you the same.
Hang in there and she will be Lacey again...

Yeah, absolutely "nor al". All the strong hos meds are completely out of her system now so the prescribed take home meds need to do their job. Dogs are so resilient it's hard to remember this os MAJOR sirfery and they don't exactly feel like being yippee skippee Happy quite yet.

Lacey had a good day yesterday. What I mean by good is she ate, was up and outside using the bathroom and responsive. Now today she’s being a couch potato but I understand from you all that’s part of the deal. Her stitches look great to the untrained eye. LOL.
Awww smoochy face Lacey! That is a very good day!
Yes, when the routines start coming back it can be up and down as far as their activity tolerance. Recovery is definitely not a linear event, there are many curves in the road but it's nothing she can't handle, or you. Keep it up!
Oh and I keep forgetting to ask, would you mind starting a new topic in Treatment and Recovery? That way everyone can follow her next chapter of life on 3 🙂 Thanks!
Lacey has graduated to the recovery forum so hop on over to this thread to follow Lacey's recovery journey.

Amy, I know the feeling all too well and the waiting game on a diagnosis. The first advice I received as you read through these posts was each dog is its own story and wait for results from the doctors before assuming the outcome. Jerry says it best above but each of the posts with advice from osteosarcoma veterans made me feel so much better. I'm here if you need something. We are in it together.
One day running and being a dog, the next.........was something I never expected but with each of you I can make it through.....
Love my Lacey!
Thank you for sharing Lacy’s story! We have been following to help our decision in our dogs diagnosis. I will start a separate article for our journey, because this blog is truly amazing. And I wouldn’t feel confident in any of this if it weren’t for finding this website!
I am wondering how old lacy is/ was when preformed amputation.
