Tomorrow 0700 MST is drop off for my Lacey! Its unreal how we went from a simple limp to "this". I know from this forum I am not living in a bubble which helps. It doesn't make me any more content others have to go through this but that I am not alone in this journey is some relief. Hope that came out right. Thank all of you for your kind words and advice. Let's do this Lacey and give it our best shot. I am all in......
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! You are. surrounded by others who understand every aspect of this journey like no others can.
I even cancelled the first surgery appointment for my Happy Hannah because I was petrified! Note that it was before I found this community. Needless to say, I rescheduled and had no regrets.
Let us know when surgery is fone, okay? Is she spending the night ata fully staffed overnight clinic?
Depp breaths...and eat lots of chocolate tonight 👍
Hugs

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Lacy, we know you can do this! Sending you positive thoughts today.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

THANK YOU ALL! We dropped her off this morning. She hopped up on the couch at the clinic, was a little nervous but totally being herself. She's a mother figure and wanted to console another dog in the waiting room.
Her big and little brothers are at a play place until she is healed up enough for their return.
Benny it is a 24hr facility and the best here in town.
Tonight Lacey will be high as a kite on great drugs and restin comfortably. So tonight is the time for you to get some good sleep, okay? It's exhausting mentally and physically getting to this point in the journey and starting the recovery. So you need your rest ao you can be her strong confident pack leader when she comes home.
She sounds like such a sweetheart try to comfort other dogs at the Bet. Such a good girl💖

The vet called and said her leg was six lbs. ugh that is rough to hear but a data point. Then they said she got up on her own and ate this morning. If all goes well we pick her up at 5pm MDT. This morning was a Lacey shopping day…. Towels, tshirts, different foods just in case she won’t eat her normal food and other extras.
testing photo link. Her lounging back in August.
YAY for being able to ho already! Eating?? Great news!!Good girl Lacey!
When you go pick jer up tell her what a good girl she is and she's going home to all her presents you got for her today.👏 Upbeat and confident energy will help heal her. Don't even bother drawing attention to her incision, she jist wants to see you smiling face getting her kisses and hugs🥰
The photo worked and she is absolutely beautiful!😊

Go Lacy! Already eating and getting up on her own! That is awesome. It took Brownie two days but in his defense he was almost 12.
When Brownie was picky about eating, sardines right out of the can always did the trick.
As far as starting a blog, I was also hesitant at first. But now I am so happy I did.
Please let us know how she is doing.

She’s home! Yeah! Too much energy and not as horrifying as I expected. I love she is home and I can take care of her.
WELCOME HOME LACEY!!! Looking good pretty girl!!!
Her energy might drop a little after all those good hospital meds are out of her sys. And in a way that's good because she needs rest, rest, rest.
Keep us posted!

LOVE LOVE LOVE you Lacey! I'm so happy you are home and getting spoiled rotten. What a great day!
Do you mind if I add Lacey's pics to the gallery occasionally? She is irrestible!
I hope the next few days and recovery goes really smoothly. As Sally said, it's not unusual for a post-op crash / slow down to happen so don't panic if it does. But right now live it up! Cuddle and rest and give her extra kisses from all of us.
Welcome home Lacey! What a beautiful pic of a happy girl!
