Merry Christmas!
I just wanted to share this video of Max at 3 weeks post op. He is doing really well! Getting his stitches out on Tuesday.
Look at Max go! His tail is wagging non-stop! Thank you so much for sharing how well he is doing. Great way to inspire everyone just starting this journey.
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Hi, and Max looks so happy! His tail is wagging with every step.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

"March Saint"
WOW! He looks soooooo good! Especially since moving in snow is harder than moving without it he looks GREAT! Would it be OK if we put that video on the Tripawds YouTube channel? It would be good for others to see, he is so hopeful!
Best. Christmas. EVER!
What harness is he wearing? That looks like a good one for rear-leg amputees.
P.S. Now that he's graduated from the diagnosis phase, please consider starting a new topic about Max in any of our other forums so more people can see how great he's doing. Thanks!
Hoppy Pawlidays!
Hi Jerry,
Yes you can use that video. I'd note it is 3 weeks post op. During the first day post op or so I looked up videos and they were all doing much better than Max was, so I stopped looking. It did the opposite of what I hoped it would do (assure me he was on track, etc).
The harness I am using is called Coodeo Dog Lift Harness.
It works and he can urinate with it on. There are probably better/more expensive harnesses but this style was extremely helpful for us. Sometimes he really didn't want to get up but we could get the harness on while he was laying down and pop him up. Once he was up he was always good. I couldn't do this easily with a towel or a single strap harness. He's 100lbs! This is also a life saver going down the 4 stairs to our backyard.
I will start a new thread. Thank you!
Sweet, thanks for sharing that info!
Folks, new topic is here:

I'm looking forward to adding Max's story to our list of Tripawds who have undergone the TPLO surgery procedure. SO happy he's doing well!
