Hi
Has anyone ever purchased "wheels " for their dog. There is a company close by who makes them. They were on MSNBC and I am very tempted to purchase but want to know if any one has one. My dog is 10 and 4 months post surger. Doing well and wants to go for a walk but becomes tired. He is a black lab, lovable, smart, and still very healthy for his age. Any ideas
These doggie carts are generally made for dogs that have no use of their back legs due to a neurologic problem that renders the back legs immobile. I suppose if your dog is a rear leg amputee and his front legs are strong that you could try it but he might not like it! If they have feeling in their other leg it might actually cause pain because the rear legs are in a sling to allow the wheels to turn. I'm also not sure if it would fit properly with 1 leg missing. I would contact the company directly and ask them.

My poodle Angel will have to be on one next week after amputation on one rear leg and pelvic/hip fracture surgery on the other rear leg. She'll have to use one to get around til she can put weight on her hip. (She was hit by a car 8 days ago.) Has anyone had experience with a cart?
Those who have usually mention Eddie's Wheels is a great company. I forget exactly, but think I remember someone saying they might offer rentals or refurbs.
