I have the Webmaster with the brush guard. I really like it, except for one thing. Riot has to be laying down to get it on. Has anyone gotten it altered to be clipped on standing up? It has to maintain the solid integrity it already has. I still have to do most of the work getting him in and out of the car.

Hmmmm...it's typically put on a rear-legger while standing up. At least that's the way we do it with Wyatt Ray . Over time Riot will get the hang of it if you practice putting it on him while he's standing up.

First, put him next to a wall. Then you stand on his amp side and prop your knee under his stump, just lightly enough so he knows he can lean on you. Then, slip the harness over his head, and next, real quick, slip his right front leg through the leg loop. Make sense?

You can kinda see what I'm talking about right here, although we are doing it outside:

Thank you for the video. Hopefully as he gets stronger we can work on getting it on him that way. Now that he's eating, I'm starting to work on more PT.

Good for you! Yes, he will get his balance down in no time at all. You are such a great advocate for him.

Which leg of Riot's was amputated? We had a left forelimb amputation which does, unfortunately, mean that he has to get his remaining forelimb through a hole because it clips on the other side … BUT after a few weeks after surgery we have it worked out where we slip it over his head and then in a slightly akward move I lift his leg up, he transfers weight back and I support some of his weight and we can get it through with him standing up. It took some time, patience and humor but we got through it … and I think that Grover is motived because he knows that we usually put it on before car rides so something good always comes after putting it on 🙂

He had his left rear off. He lost a lot of muscle since the amputation, and we've only been able to start getting him moving again with a bit of PT the last few days.

What harness would you guys recommend for a full left arm amputation ? Scarlet, my sweet lab mix, developed an infection due to flesh-eating bacteria and they had to amputate. She is doing really well, but I’d like a harness to walk her in.

 I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Thanks for asking! The Ruffwear Web Master Plus Brush Guard is the best all purpose support harness recommended for most Tripawds. The Tripawd Convert Harness is a great walking harness, with easy on and off fitting.
