Hi all! It's been a while since I've dropped by. Bandit's well over a year post amputation and we've been seeing a steady decline in his mood and mobility. Visited the vet and he gave him a clean bill of health, just says he needs to rebuild his hind leg from lack of use from arthritis. As much as I hated to do it, he's now on rimadyl and seems to be much better. Since he's so uncomfortable traveling and with people touching him, hydrotherapy as the vet suggested is out. We recently got him a Walkin Wheels wheelchair and it has improved his mood and strength ten fold. I am amazed. Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else has used this brand and what suggestions you might have to try. We've been continually messing with the set up and think we have it set up well, but I was curious what others have done. His amputation site is flush so he doesn't have the stump to keep him even in the chair. Despite this, he only leans to the left when he's tired. Any suggestions on ways to keep him propped up the whole time? We upgraded to the rear ended harness which seems to give him a lot more range of motion and comfort, as well as better adjustability. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much!!
