I have always been fascinated by the way Otis and Tess instinctively split up to try to encircle rabbits, squirrels, etc. (No, to the best of my knowledge, they have never caught anything, but it is neat to see the pack instincts). This afternoon, the three of us went outside, and there was a chipmunk in the yard. They went after it in exactly the same manner - Otis to the right and Tess to the left. Otis' missing leg meant nothing to them. The chipmunk, of course, is fine.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
I can picture this now, how adorable! I'll add it to my arsenal of reasons to add another pack member someday 🙂

I love this visual! I love that it's proof yet again, nothing has changed in the mind of Otis when it comes to doing what he loves! Clearly he and Tess are on the same page
You know we have to have video, right! I've ordered them a trained...er....chipmunk just for the camera shoot. If they get to close he takes off his chipmunk costume and turns into a skunk!
Lots of love!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I love this visual!!! Jasper loves to 'hunt' and she thinks she is so stealth... I love her slow motion walk toward her prey (kitty, squirrel, skunk)... as she lifts each leg slowly and methodically while her prey watches her and usually dashes off. I wonder if she knows they can see her doing her 'stealth like a ninja' walk. It's so funny!!!
She has also (and will never) catch anything! She's always on her leash!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Love this! The pack united and enjoying themselves after everything you've all been through. Meg's pretty stealth, but Elsie always ruins it by getting over excited and shouting. They could take a tip from your two in teamwork skills...
