Hi, its been a while! Hope everyone and every dog/cat is doing well. We are doing great here. Novak is still rocking it on 3! I decided to train him slowly back to play disc, he really loves it and with his drive around the house, I don't think it will be dangerous for him...I mean, he's already a daredevil everywhere around the house LOL I know he's more at risk of an injury, but Im being extra careful. So our main goal is to make him have more focus, control over the sport. Because he's so excited, he can't stop himself like before, I mean, he will litteraly slide himself to the ground if the disc is on the ground by missing a catch or a throw. So I began to throw a ball to the ground, very short distance with on a stay, then, I release him to get the ball, so he has to stop on 3, bend and then get the ball. If the distance is too long, he will run fast, slide and then get the ball. So ive been doing that time to time.THen I added the disc, short catches, short throws, etc... he's good! He lands good, except few time where his body is twisting, like he's unbalance because of the missing leg. Other than that, he's good. Oh, we still have the problem of the bad throw/catch where the disc go on the floor and he has to get it...he will slide on the floor. I don't know how to resolve that issue... So of course before competing again, I want him to really be solid, Im not sure we will get there, but thats ok too. I just want him to have fun and be safe. I did a video this afternoon, it was our 3rd session.
