GREAT RECIPE!!!! WAY TO GO!!!
Im gonna' pass the recipe for "Spam Delight" onto Arty's Mom and see if this is the magic combo to get him to eat!
What brand kibble was involved?
So happy to read this update!!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Spam, it's what's for dinner!
I hope this can help other picky pets. I use Fromm large breed adult. It has a bit of grain, so I don't risk heart disease. Honestly, I think grinding up the Milkbone was key. If pets have a favorite dry treat, I'd add a bit in. He's been on this kibble over 7 years, so I didn't want to change it post surgery/chemo.
I ground everything into a powder, then added the spam, and ground it together.
On the stairs front. We got the Webmaster. It's definitely a help for the two stairs outside. I hate that it can't be put on when Riot is standing. I can't have him stand on two legs to get the strap under his front leg on. He has to be laying down. I have bad joints, so this is a hardship. I'd rather only have it on him for going outside, but now it needs to stay on him all day.
A late hello and welcome.
First- good job cracking the 'won't eat' code for Riot! And good tips for the next to come along with the same issues.
On the steps- do they have good traction ? My little Pug Maggie was a left rear amp and could do two stairs but she would only try when her rugs were there. They were outside so it was weather proof carpet that I taped down.
My current Tripawd is a little Pug mix named Elly who is missing her right rear. She wears a webmaster every day and has learned to sit while I put it on her. I tell her to sit, then I put it over her head, then I say 'foot' and she picks up her right front leg and I put it through the strap. Then I pat her belly and she stands so I can fasten the buckles. Elly is years past her surgery (car accident) and is very strong at this point so the move to stand is not an issue for her.
You could also try by putting his right front leg through the strap opening while he is sitting or laying, then swing it up over his head while he is standing. Whether it works that way or not depends on how the harness is adjusted. I can do it that way with Elly but she doesn't like that way- she is better with the first way I talked about.
I've been meaning to get a video and haven't done it yet- I'll try to soon but I'm swamped with my summer hobby job with the local Shakespeare Festival.
Karen and the Spirit Pug Girls
Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.
1999 to 2010
Thank you. I hope he eats again tonight. He generally only eats at night. I stopped trying to fix that one a decade ago.
Unfortunately, he can't sit. His knee has had a bit of arthritis for a while. A bit of a design flaw on the harness, but we'll work around it.
The stairs inside and out both have traction . It seems to be mostly a confidence issue at this point. I'm hoping he'll do better once he builds more strength.
I'm glad your baby can wear it all day.
Yay he ate!! I’m happy for you two. What was the ingredient that did the trick?
We just approved your blog, sorry for the delay. As for accessing your blog, look at the black bar at the top of your page when you’re logged in. Thanks. My first blog post ...
We notice now you did also publish a page: My Riot
If that what you were referring to, it did "make it" – it was just never added to the Menu. And Pages do not appear in the Recent Posts widgets throughout the Tripawds community. You can add the page to your Menu from the Appearance -> Menus tab in your dashboard. the Help Videos in your dashboard cover the difference between pages and posts, editing menus, and much more. Or, just holler if ya need more help!
