Chance has a sore spot that he has licked raw on his remaining front leg. I'm pretty sure it's from him falling on it when he lays down and that spot taking so much more impact. I just don't know what to do to make it better. It's not like we can change our whole house to carpet. I have rugs and beds where he sleeps but not sure what else to do?
Chance is a 10ish Shetland Sheepdog Mix who was rescued from the shelter in January of 2013 and diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in September of 2013. He had a front left amputation and 6 rounds of carboplatin. He had a great 11 months and was diagnosed with lung mets on 8/23/14. He was released to the bridge on 8/28/14.
Oh that's a tough one, I'm sorry. You mean like a hygroma?
Here are some options for treating hygromas. Do any of these seem like they'll work for you?
Also, check out this post by Spirit Elgin's Mom. She told me she's always willing to make one of these for a Tripawd, she's testing them out as prototypes: http://elginsfa.....necessary/

Yes it is more like a pressure sore but it isn't swollen. That little contraption might work? How can I contact her?

For whatever reasns, Hapoy Hannah licked her frnt legs incessantly for several weeks after her REAR .eg amp! Never vothere her incisin site, just her legs.
Does Cnance jave any shaved areas on that leg where they took blood work or anything? That could be causing him itchiness.
K almost wondered at some point with Hpy Hannah, if she was "thinking" she needed to scratch her back leg (yeah...the missng one) and comensated bu lickng her frnt legs!! I don't know....just throwing it out there!
Good luck and hugs to sweet Chance!
