Ok so Leo's amputation was 5 months and 3 weeks ago and we have been medication free since his back problems (going on 4 weeks now)
i have noticed he is getting a bald patch on his rear remaining leg but not sure if it's an injury or a sign of something else?
Any ideas?

Is he rubbing that spot a lot, perhaps when getting up?
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
That's what I was thinking. . perhaps he's rubbing something when he's moving around or getting up. I am trying to remember if that happened to Shelby. I do know that her tail got kind of a bald spot and I think she would use that in some way too when she was navigating.
I am sure your vet wouldn't mind a phone call if you are concerned ... I do recall the mind games we go through with this journey so sending you lots of hugs!!!
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Where exactly is it? Got a pic?

My Corgie, Lucy has come up with a bald spot on her back a few times. Seems to be allergies. We have a spray we use. Could also be friction of getting up and down. I know, it is so hard not to panic. I would get a vet check just to be sure. I think most of my vet trips are for me, not my dogs. I need the reassurance that they are ok. Lori, Ty and Gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Sorry lost my post lol
I will get a picture of it in a bit and he seems to have sore pads on the rear leg although I got a water proof dressing on his rear leg now as well 😕.
It has been raining most of the week and I wondered if he was sliding on the grass or patio but I will make an appointment to as don't want him sore (not that he ever shows he's sore just a typical daft collie pup)
he never nibbles it or looks like it's a problem for him but it's worrying me lol

It never hurts to be super conscientious. Good job! Let us know what the vet says. Hope the rain lets up.
