WOW... look at those gams!!!
I don't have as many of Shelby's power leg but wanted to share some things she could still do as a Tripawd! Circus dog/sitting on my lap! The best!
Her stance changed a bit!You can kind of see that muscle forming. She was basically on three legs before she officially became a tripawd so lots of energy and time building that strength.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
And of course... Shelby would / could still totally play!
And be outside!

For some reason, Shelby looks to me like she is wearing heels, not sure if it is her coloring or the kind of elegant dainty way she walks.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
haha @ Christine! She sort of does! I think it's her coloring - it looks like she has little shoes on Oh, sweet Shelby!
Wyatt Ray - that muscle is impressive!

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Here is Turbotail Murph's shining example of the rear power leg, as he tows quadpawd Gus around the yard. If you play the video full screen, you can get a good look at that powerful back leg.
Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
WOW KATHI! Murphy really was pulling Gus around! Quite a strong boy! I love how Murphy went all arou d the hard BACKWARDS and on THREE LEGS and didn't step on one single flower or shrub! It's so cute ro see how determined Murphy is ro get rhe toy away.....and sweet Gus is just happuly wagging the whole time and @etting Murphy do all the work! 🙂
And to see precious SHELBY feeling so good and looking so fit....melting my heart over here! Nope, she didn't need that extra leg at all! It clearly didn't hold her back from being Shelby! And trust me, I'm SURE Alison has a picture of Shelby in high heels...right Alison!!? I love her "strong stance" position she developed. The montage you jave with Shelby surrounded in her "pink flower frame"...DEFINITELY a favorite!
WYATT! That is a very impressive muscle you've developed sweet boy! If I didn't know better I'd say you were taking steriod muscle enhancing stuff!
Jave to ad.it, I have a little catch in my throat seeing some of our precious Angels.
Love to all
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Although now angels, they are perfects examples of the power of the hind leg. So impressive with the bulging muscles. And then there's dainty Shelby just prancing along. Oh by the way Alison, I think Shelby tossed the toy to you for you to "get it"!
Amputation doesn't hold any of them back from enjoying life.
