Hi Friends!
It has been a while since I've found myself on this forum, but I had a question that maybe some of you can answer. We started Mac on the Glyco-Flex III Canine about 1-2 weeks ago and he has been having diarrhea. Did anyone else experience this with their pup?
He was previously on Glucosamine tablets and so I felt he didn't need to do the full on 'loading period,' so instead of 4 per day, we were doing 3 for the first 2 weeks. After this continuous diarrhea, we put it down to 2 per day and that seems to be helping a bit.
Any thoughts? Similar experiences?
We adopted Mac in June 2014 from the GRCGLAR and he is our little baby boy, despite the fact that he is 11.5! Almost a year of bliss turned into complete devastation when he started limping on his front right leg and it was discovered on April 16, 2015 that he has bone cancer - specifically Osteosarcoma. We were luckily directed to Tripawds by our oncologist, Dr. Avenelle Turner, which changed our lives and guided us through the amputation process.

My guy had some bowel issues when we first started. I started him on 2 per day. He is about 75 lbs. I don't give him any more than that. He also gets a Dasaquin in the Am. Vet told me to keep it at no more that 2 with the Dasaquin. He seems to be fine on that combo. I would maybe keep him at 2 for a bit and see how he seems. I know they do help. I can tell a difference when I run out. Lori, Ty & Gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Aww Mac, sorry your belly isn't feelin great. Has anything else changed in your diet?
Our Wyatt Ray gets 2 a day, he's 80 pounds. He hasn't had the runny poop, and that's incredible because a lot of things make him runny. Sounds like Mac might be getting too much?
