I'm so scared now that Roscoe has had his "good" leg amputated. He rarely felt comfortable at all on his right leg and we must get a total hip replacement on his right side as he has no acetabulum (puppy mill rescue/overbreeding).
I'm not sure what to do or why I don't see other dogs on this site with prosthesis? If they don't need them, that's great! I just want to strengthen him without a prosthetic putting more weight on the left leg (amputated from the hip but not including) and I'm not sure what to do.
Would love advice. Thank you so much.

Perhaps you missed the many posts about prosthetics in the Tripawds News blog . You will also find various video interviews and podcasts about the use of prosthetics and orthotic devices there and in the Tripawds Downloads blog – including our most recent, another interview with Dr Marecllin-little, an acclaimed leading expert in pet prosthetics :

One very important factor to consider, however, is that for present prosthetic use to be successful, at least two joints must remain in the residual limb. It is is a discussion that really must occur prior to amputation surgery, and one that normally requires a considerable investment in time, rehab conditioning, and financial resources . Hence the reason you do not see as many members sharing their prosthetic case studies here.
