My pack loves playing in the snow. The mountains have been dumping the stuff for weeks. It's time to play!!!
Have been working Rosie's core something fierce and it's been 2 months so I think she's ready for a short romp.
I am trying to figure out what would be best for her. She's a front amp. Compact snow or deeper wet snow?
Or am I totally crazy? They love the snow and it is something we do every winter.
Thoughts please?

In between? Super packed snow can get icy so easily, but if the snow us too deep, it could cause some pretty hard exertion. Murphy was good in six inches or so of in between snow, but that was about the most we usually had on the ground at one time.
Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Hopping through deep snow is great exercise for Tripawds! It is also extremely exhausting and should not last long, if not a regular thing. No more than couple inches of soft snow would be preferred if out for a walk and short playtime. Ice and packed snow may cut paws and cause falls. Take it easy, and have fun!

This is like nearly 7 minutes long, but hey, it was 9+ years ago. They did that sort of thing back then.

Murphy loves the snow! I think because he knows that when he crashes with Cassie or Max, that he can fall into the snow & not fall all the way to the ground! lol He knows he's a bit more protected and he seems to play more. But, yes, he gets tired from it and sleeps for awhile after.

Haha thanks for watching it!
We had a great time checking it out again and remember that day like it was yesterday. It was fun to watch Jerry being so infatuated with destroying that snowman. He even ignored the other dogs running around!

Absolutely LOVE this! So great to see Jerry in snow conquering action. And seriously agile too. Love the way it works with the music.
We very rarely get snow like that here, but Meg is praying for at least a sprinkling...
Ruby, Staffy, born June 2022, became a Tripawd, November 2023, adopted January 2024.
Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Elsie Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...
I watched this video this morning and it is great! I love how Jerry had a purpose and followed through to the end when the snowman was destroyed- so many these days do just a half a$$ job!
Also I wanted to thank you...I've been humming the Underdog theme all day
