For those who may remember Atlas first not so great trip to rehab, I just wanted to share an update. (So glad I have you guys to talk to)
We reached out to our local neighborhood and found a friend with a tripawd from an accident not cancer and she told us about a wonderful local vet who does acupuncture. What a great vet Dr. Williams is..... He is trained in western medicine but also believes in eastern medicine and is certified in many areas. The man is brilliant and every time we meet and talk to him we are more and more impressed. He has made 5 house calls now and performed acupuncture and message therapy on Atlas. And Atlas loves it. He gets so excited when Dr. Williams arrives and jumps and wags like crazy every time. We love it too because we dont have to drive forever to get to him, he comes to us which means Atlas can really relax in his own home environment and really allow the therapy to work. Although we haven't seen a major change in the ataxia from his wobblers, we have certainly seen a big improvement in his energy level and who knows what will change as we continue on this journey. It's quite inspiring to work with a vet who is so diverse in his knowledge and takes his patient's care to such great lengths that he has done tons of research and determined that Atlas is Yin deficient and Yang strong and gave Marc and I so much valuable information and is now researching which holistic herbs will best benefit Atlas after he completes chemotherapy next month. He also hooked us up with a closer certified rehab vet where we have an appointment after Atlas last chemo to look into hydrotherapy and core strengthening exercises
. You might think all this personal home care costs a fortune, but you'd be wrong.... only $200 for six house calls including acupuncture and message. Best vet ever and totally down to earth kinda guy!
Moral of the story....keep reaching out, keep looking. For every vet you may have a bad experience with, there is another terrific one just around the corner.
Thanks for letting me express.

I am so glad you guys had a good experience. <3 I love our acupuncture vet and clinic, and think the therapydoes wonders for Sam, as well.
