It's hard to tel l, but I'm only about twenty feet from them, at the most.

Everyday I softly call, "Here dear deer, here dear deer." And they come for their dessert of corn.

This is the third year for my Tripawd. She brought up TWO babies with her this year!!! She doesn't usually being them for their treats when others are a round. She prefers to bring them earlier in the day when the dessert bar is not as crowded!

I'm sure carrying ariund...and caring for...two babies was pretty exhaustive for her but she's a Strong Tipawd Warrior !!! If you can...however you do it on your machine...zoom in to make it bigger...it's worth it.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Technically deer don't have paws, they have hooves, so what you have there is a Tri-ungulate. big-grin.

And we need a forum topic just for other species Tri whatevers.  I posted about another Tri-ungulate, in my case a buffalo in Montana.  I've also seen an alligator, a bear, and doesn't someone have a turtle?

Here is a Link to the Tri-buffalo (and I did use the Tri-ungulate joke there too!).

Nice video Sally, thanks for sharing.  What are the cats doing in the second one? They don't seem to concerned with the deer, and the deer don't seem to concerned about them.

Wow,

Amazing.  I saw a tri-ungulate deer when Sassy was alive.  I haven't seen it since so I don't know what happened to it.  It actually was a rear one.

Thank you for sharing all your great wildlife videos with us.  Its no wonder Hannah loved her deer poop.  I am sure with that many deer that there was plenty of it.

Hugs

Amazing video!  This may be a dumb question, or maybe it's already been answered, but do you know how she came to be a tripawd?

This is Merry Myrtle "watching" the deer with me. I don't know if she's drooling and slobbe because she cantnwait to go eat their fresh deer poop (yummy), or if shee thinking deer "meat"! Not gonna happen Miss Myrtle Mae!!

The cats actually go and graze ipon the corn with the deer.

Karen, the buffalo vido is craaaaazy great! Tri ungulated! Very good Miss Karen!!!

It appears to be a nub that she actually as some contol ovrr. You know how deer stomp their feet as a warning? She will try and stomp her little nub...soooo cute! I prefer to think it's a birth deformity as opposed to a lss of limb that caused hernpain and suffering.

WOW, that's amazing that they come up with both Myrtle and the cats there. They are beautiful!

Karen, that is a great idea to start a forum topic. I saw quite a few tri-flippered (?) sea turtles in florida, most from being tangled in fishing line.

That's beautiful! I believe that deer are magnificent judges of character, so you must be alright ;P I have somewhat of a deer obsession...I like to take my camera out on little nature walks and stalk them haha! My friends have begged me to not put anymore deer photos on Facebook! I haven't seen a tri-ungulate yet, but I have seen a piebald! I volunteered for a rehabilitation group that had me transport a little piebald baby deer to a volunteer run facility that works exclusively with fawns. You should of seen this place - there were over 80 fawns just running and jumping all over the place like little maniacs!

Awww this is so sweet! Just now catching up on this, the footage is SO sweet! I can't believe all the critters just get along, it's like watching a scene in Bambi or something!

We are a cross-species community so all Tripawd critters are welcome here of course!

A piebald is a genetic mutation that happens in less than 1% of deer, and then about 10% of that group survives. They are born with various deformities but this was the healthiest piebald the rescue had ever seen!

And that picture of Myrtle is just precious - she looks so intrigued! Jaime chased 7 out of the lawn in front of my apartment the other day -_- Took him about 20 minutes to notice them too!

Sally, your deer (and MM and the other pics) brought a huge smile to my face. Nature is wonderful, isn't it? Thanks for sharing with us.
