Jack is now 9 months post amp and still living life to the full
Yesterday we went to a Rally competition, Jack was competing in Rally before diagnosis, he just needed one more qualifying score before gaining his Level 2 title and yesterday he managed to get a score of 195/210 giving a qualifying score and excellent score so he officially has RL2 after his name - so pleased with him
I was asked about competing with a tripawd - in the UK the Kennel Club requires your dog to be fit for function so it is possible to compete with a tripawd. the judge can, however, ask you to leave the ring with your dog if they believe the dog is having a problem or is unfit to compete, this applies across all disciplines and all dogs
The picture is Jack, taken yesterday at the show when we were having a go at the special interim course which was set up for dogs not competing at the next level, he got a good 'qualifying' score in that too
What a splendid boy eh?
Bravo! Splendid indeed, congratulations to you both and THANK YOU for showing the world that life can be great on 3!

funnily enough a lot of people don't even notice he only has 3 legs and are quite shocked when they do!
It was remarked upon several times yesterday about how happy he was to be working and looked as if he enjoyed himself hugely, much more than some of the 4 legged ones 🙂

That is amazing!  Great that he was able to continue and meet his goal, although I know that dogs don't think about having goals, just having fun with their people!

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
That is tremendous! Â Go Team Jack!! Â Thank you for sharing!
Lisa and Pofi
Lisa, Minneapolis
On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. Â His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
Oh Jack!!! Bravo boy!
That's such an inspirational story, there Jack is, still doing what he loves, and being pretty darn good at it!! He looks so happy and so content. Thanks so much for sharing that with us, Jack's sending the Tripawd message out to everyone loud and clear, life is just as fulfilling on 3, don't be afraid and never give up.
Keep going Jack, we're all so proud of you

I know its been a while but hey all is good here and there isn't really much to report
although we do seem to have a couple of teeth that are dying and getting ready to fall out, put that down to the chemo I think
So for good measure here is the boy being naughty! - some of the others were gong for a walk and he just has to make a point 🙂
Love it! I like that no news is good news and you still came to share that lovely photo, thanks!
I've heard about chemo affecting teeth sometimes. Is that your vet's theory too?

Why thank you Jack says, he feels great and is looking forward to beings spoilt, if they remember on his one year ampuversary
regarding the teeth, it's my theory the vet didn't say yes or no about the chemo, we agreed though to leave them to avoid the need for another anaestheticÂ
