So this is possibly our silliest ever post, and I grant you there are a few contenders, but Meg and I have been working FOREVER on perfecting her double hupsie and we just had to share it with you. It is at least very short...

Ruby, Staffy, born June 2022, became a Tripawd, November 2023, adopted January 2024.

Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Elsie Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...

Oh Meg,  I can tell you are going to be the 'good' sister. You did that so well and so politely!  Rosie prefers the knock-em-down-to-your-level and take all their treats method. I think your way is better!

I agree, great core. I like how you have your front leg out straight, not sure of the purpose but very cute. I'd like to see Else Pie attempt this. Hmmm, I can see the appalled look on her face now. big-grin

I'd like to see Else Pie attempt this.

Elsie Pie has mastered the hupsie (in her own inimitable fashion). I think the double may be a little advanced...

Oh Little Elsie Pie. You are strong, you are powerful, no need to do a double.

I was so wrong, you love to hupsie. Is there something special way up in the air that has your attention?

My kitty Mona will sit up while I prepare her food and lately she sits up for me to scratch her on her head, to see over a plant in the garden and also to see over Eli because he is taller. There are many purposes.

Good going Clare's gang!

That is BRILLIANT Meg! (and mum!).  Core strength, works the hips and the concentration!  All brilliant!

Now Elsie Pie...well, um...

It's not that she can't do the double, she shouldn't because of that bad knee! Yeah, that's it! Bad knee!  I'm sure EP could do a double and then a triple hupsie if it wasn't for that dang bad knee! She should be commended for showing such restraint big-grin

Ha! Love it!! Great job Meg!

It's so astonishing how they build up core strength. Manni can (well ok, almost) do that too but all the years before I tried to get him to do this and it just never worked.

WOW 😁

Auntie Teresa and Eurydice are really, really impressed 👌🏽 not only Meg's core muscles are outstanding but her composure is impeccable throughout her performance 👌🏽👌🏽

What a princess 👑🍫💗

As for Elsie Pie she is also in great form 💪🏽

LOVE your girls 💗💗💗🐶🐶 and you 🌹💞

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Elsie Pie: 10.7 due to extra long extension of rear legs and advanced head tilt as well as no treats used (ahem, visible...)

Meg: 10.5 due to DOUBLE HUPSIE but minus .5 due to bribery involved.

Neither Heffalump, nor CharlieBear, nor EmmaRose have any idea of what a HUPSIE is or involves which is an epic failure and a score of 0.0000000 here.

Personally, I find the HUPSIE post much less divisive than The Great Bloomers Referendum! No scissors involved and all that!!! But watch out, Meg!!! This may require you to go on the road to show off your talents!!! Beach HUPSIE, Shed HUPSIE, Pick Up Sticks HUPSIE...

Awww, thanks everyone.

Donna, please know that your Murphy is a Mega role model, and is performing a magnificent hupsie in his 11th birthday pic...

Colonel Mosby PM'd me to say he can hupsie anytime you want, but you'll have to (pre)pay him in chocolate. No chocolate, no hupsie. Just passing on what he said...

Tina & Manni and Kerren & Mona: Hupsie pics please....

Kat: I think we need to see this too:

Rosie prefers the knock-em-down-to-your-level and take all their treats method.

Karen, you're absolutely right. Elsie is held back by her knee and would be Hupsie Champion of the World, were it not for that. It's a tragedy crying No question.

Thanks Auntie Teresa and Eurydice heart for complimenting Meg on her composure. Composure has not always been Meg's (ahem) dominant characteristic. I think she has learned how well mannered dogs behave by following Eurydice on her travels.

Alison, LOVE the pic of Shelby. And she's doing it on the bed??? A soft surface would make it much more challenging I think. Shelby the circus girl clown

CharlieBear: bribery/payment depends where you're calling from. Elsie Pie and the Megastar have established a very powerful Union, and are big on workers' rights.

This may require you to go on the road to show off your talents!!! Beach HUPSIE, Shed HUPSIE, Pick Up Sticks HUPSIE

Now there's an idea.

Thanks again, everyone. Now no more silliness for ten minutes at least, I promise.

LOOOOOVE THIS!!!! MEG!!!! YOU ARE JUST AN OUTSTANDING CHAMPION IN EVERYTHING YOU DO!!! Having fun and giving us smiles and joy is your best skill! 🙂 🙂

And Elsie Pie, surely your name is in the dictionary as the perfect example of ADORABLE, PRECIOUS and CUTE!! 🙂

Being able to celebrate laughter isn't "silliness" at all...It's one of the reasons we are able to stay here and support others, through the good times, and through the rough times.

So make no mistake about it, Meg and Elsie Pie AND Clare, you are appreciated on so many levels here. The ability to make us smile is definitely at the top of the list!! 🙂

Looking forward ro the next installment!!

Hupsie Hugs!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
