Has anyone found if their dog needed or did not need one.
Brutus our lab is an avid swimmer, as we say here, he owns the pool we maintain and pay for it. We are getting ready to open the pool as soon as he is allowed to swim, as it will provide great exercise. However, since we are newly tripawds I wanted to know if what other's experience is.
Thanks
Bo was a big swimmer before and after surgery. We found the life jacket helpful...for our own comfort too. Bo was a front amp and swam "lower" after surgery. He also got tired more quickly. Bo would have said, take this thing off of me, I not need it. But, we found it helpful and a good precaution to take.

Be sure to read our Float Coat review for advice about life jackets for Tripawds. Jerry did not "need" one at first, but it became essential as he eventually became a weaker swimmer.
