WOW! Amazing!!! YAY for her! She looks awesome! 🙂
I love swimming dogs - they are the best! Too cute! I can't wait to get Shelby back into the water for some strength training. And I agree, looked like she had had enough for sure. But she's a trooper.
Way to go!
PS - Sally and Happy Hannah, I'm originally from Seattle so I'm going to have to go Seahawks this Sunday! 🙂

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
OH YAAAY!!! I'll bet you all had tears in your eyes didn't you? Because honestly I do! It's wonderful to see her getting out there and enjoying life, doing all the things she loves to do. Kudos to you for living with gusto and fearlessness. You definitely know how to Be More Dog !
I added her video to our "Tripawds Swimming" playlist on YouTube. Thanks so much for sharing, feel free to add more when you can.

Thanks for sharing our excitement!
I originally had 3 little videos of JG's first swim and somehow I messed up the first two because they're each about 3 seconds long. Whaaat? Not sure what happened. Anyway, I know she looks kind of whipped in the footage I posted and I almost didn't post it for that reason, but then I decided any activity she does at this stage is a little victory. So there you go.
Sally - OMD, I always have to reign Papa Bear in! He often thinks she can do more and I'm always cautious about her overdoing it. You'll hear the same thing in other videos I post this week..."not so far Papa Bear!" Hahaha.
More updates in a day or two. I hope y'all are doing well!
Claudia
Dont worry. Of course she's tired, she's swimming with a missing leg for the first time! She will get stronger, especially if you help her with core strengthening activities (swimming builds endurance but not strength). Can't wait to watch her progress.
