A dear friend of mine has a Great Dane recently diagnosed with osteo in his front leg. Tomorrow he is undergoing amputation and officially becoming a tripawd! Just wondering if anyone has a lifting harness for a large Great Dane boy that they would like to pass on for their use (rather than them having to buy one new on top of everything else).
I lost my Great Dane girl, Zayda, a couple of years ago during her amputation surgery, so I am trying to do everything I can to support them through this!!
Thanks for your consideration!!
You should look through the Tripawds Angel Exchange forum and if you don't find anything post this request there.
It's nice to see you here again and wonderful that you are helping your friend, Zayada lives on through your actions!

Thank you! I will add the request there if no one can help on this post!
And thank you. It took me quite some time to figure out how to move forward after abruptly losing Zayda during her surgery. But I’m so glad I am able to help others. And was so grateful from everyone’s loving and supportive messages here.
I also got involved in a local nonprofit that helps support families with dogs on a cancer journey (Czar’s Promise), and that has been so very therapeutic.
Now posted in the Angel Forum Here: WANTED: Great Dane Harness (post-amputation)

Good for you- more of Zayda's paw prints! I firmly believe that it is healing to take the lessons learned in hard times and turn them into positive action.

What a wonderfulmway to honor your beautiful Zayda. We ALL grieve so hard when we one of our family needs to head tonthe Bridge. But when they cross over in surgery, or shortly thereafter, we are absolutely gutted.
And yet you've turned your heartache into a life affirming way to help others. ZAYDA IS SO PROUD! And her presence is definitely felt with every doggy you help support through Czar's Promise. Such a kind and thoughtful way for you to honor Zayda.
I hope someone has a harness to help your friend. Sending best wishes to her.....and to you!
Hugs
