Hi Marianna,

I'm so happy he is doing so well and that his appetite and spunk is returning. When I read that he's on Royal Canin, I have to say that it's been my experience that a lot of dogs aren't crazy about prescription foods. You can always try mixing a little of the store bought fresh pet food into his meal, just to tempt him. Remember warm foods are more appetizing too.

Yes those few steps should not be a problem especially if you have traction tape on them (great job!).

How sweet that you got the baby rail for him. Lucky pup!

thanks for the quick response... actually Arby really likes the Royal Canin recovery food... it's one of my "go to" foods when he won't eat anything else... we're working through it; each day is a challenge

He's not a fan of Fresh Pet, we've tried that and I wound up giving it away.

The baby rail works great!  It's at the foot of the bed so we don't have to worry about him trying to go down the stairs (which are no longer there)

Sounds like Arby is doing pretty well.

I just wanted to share that my little Pug Mutt Elly has no trouble with stairs.  She is a rear amp so going up is harder for her, opposite of Arby, but she does fine.  I have stairs or stools near all the furniture she is allowed on and she almost always uses them.  Also, Elly is only 14 pounds so a bit smaller.
