I'm biased of course but my girl is starting to look super good I think.  Incision healed, hair growing back and we're both adjusting nicely.

She still likes to be a lap dog, or a wallow on top of me dog at 3-5 a.m. in the morning and either accidentally or on purpose seems to enjoy laying the side of her body without the leg on top of me for maximum contact - not sure if it's a balance issue or just enjoyment but I'll go with it either way.

She's hopping around, back to cat killing mode if one ventures into her path.  Can't totally blame her though.  One of the cats came up to where she was standing, all sweet and curious, touched noses with her, then proceeded to rub against her leg... could see the "curious but I'm ok" response from Ginger and then from under her chest the cat suddenly without any provocation hisses, scratches and runs and it's GAME ON.  It's a psycho cat, does that to people also, one minute sweet and loving and next it's war.  Oh well they have a better chance now at least.

Will be looking into the PT and ongoing life change issues soon, trying to stay in a holding pattern until school is out right now then my time and resources will free up just a little.  Hope to be back on the board more then also as I still want to look at other lifestyle issues.  Her stamina is still a little poor but I'm not going to push anything now for fear of injuring her other leg but she is good at stopping and laying down if the walk gets to strenuous... and I have gotten good at carrying her.  Now that I feel we are over the worst of it can look at moving forwards.  Thanks as always to the tripawds community for your support this past month.

She looks great!  What a beautiful dog!  The stamina might not return 100%, but take it slow and let her set the pace.  One month is still not very long, so she is still probably learning to get around and strengthening new muscles.

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

She looks amazing!!! Her fur is totally growing back... WOW~! I am amazed it's been a month.... Shelby's fur never grew back but perhaps that was because of the chemo or the  cancer.

Either way ... Ginger looks amazing... I love her ears!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Ginger you make our hearts go pitter-patter over here! You can be our lap dog anytime. I mean look at you gorgeous, you look as confident and strong as ever. Don't worry about that stamina, I know your Mom is working hard to get you feeling 110 pawcent again. I'm glad she'll be out of school soon. We miss you two around here!

Thanks all for the kind comments for Ginger - we've been staying busy.  Technically I'm just waiting for the kids to get out of school and return to their parents so my furkids can return to the priority they deserve, as well as resuming my net habits.  Kind of an end of the year rush to transition kids, families, etc. all going on.
