I am thinking of selling my car and taking over my mothers car. She has a jeep. I am sure I am not the only tripawd parent who will have a large vehicle. I was wondering what would be best, a ramp or stairs? Anyone have a specific brand to recommend? Any advice would be appreciated!
Oh neat! Is it a 4-door bigger jeep or a small one? If it's a small one, using a Webmaster harness to help Bailey get in and out is probably all you need. If it's a taller jeep with a hitch plug, we like the OttoStep:

We have a Jeep and use a ramp to load both of our dogs up into the back. Gus, the old Golden quadpawd, goes up like it isn't even there. Murphy likes to have his harness on when he loads up. We may or may not have to even touch the harness, but it is his security blanket. Occasionally he loads up without it, but I guess it's something he got used to in the beginning and now it is just one of his odd quirks. Gus doesn't like open stairs, so the step didn't seem like a good option for us.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
We bought our ramp from Costco online. I don't know if they still carry them, but you could check. It folds in half to store at the back door of the Jeep. They suggested putting it down in the living room, flat on the floor and getting the dogs used to walking on it there before we put it up at an angle. Seemed to work. Here is a video of him going into the travel trailer with it. http://youtu.be.....4AJPVGk1RE
