Thank you! Did you happen to notice any relief or improvement with the Assisi Loop in your pup?
You are so right about his muscles tensing during the fall and each time he anticipates having to move again, making it difficult to use his muscles. He needs to be relaxed to engage them fully and properly.
Yes, now the work on the humans needs to begin...patience, optimism, and strength for the long haul.

...and sending us home with a very interesting device called an Assisi Loop...
Thanks for sharing the treatment details!
More information about the Assisi Loop, from the Tripawds Gear blog :

It's hard to say about the loop, simply because I was using it in conjunction with laser and Rehab visits with exercises, etc. So no one thing was isolated. I can tell you that our "Volunteer Vet" here uses it on her dogs and recommends it to others.
Massages should help a lot too. The Rehab Vet always did lots of massages before she did any ROM, etc. And btw, his Rehab Vet was very "conserv6" in her remarks too. I think it goes with the territory.
I may have already mentioned this, but you might try Dasuquin Advanced or Synovi to help with the arthritis and overall joint health .
The tense muscle thing reminded me of something. Years ago some dogs got into a horrible fight for a couple of minutes, if that, before it was broken up. While the damage wasn't too bad (thankfully), one dog was basically laid out for at least 24 hrs and could literally barely move. The Vet described it as muscles tightening up in ways they never had before like they would in a car wreck...neck spasms, back spasms, etc.
And add eating chocolate your regimen...it helps!😁

The loop seems kind of magical...I hope it helps--the anecdotal stuff I've read says "meh". I will look into Dasaquin-- the vet did mention it but it slipped my mind to investigate.
That's a great point your dog fight story illustrates...just also how much must have been tensed and activated in that moment of trauma...exhausting and so so painful and sore!
How do I post a pic of Boon? I figure it's nice to see his mug after all this talking about him 😉
I'm not the best techie, but try this link adding images
Can't wait to see more pics!

Oh huzzah! Yeah he's a heartbreaker! We adopted him from city animal services around 10 years ago. He was initially found as a puppy wandering the streets, brought to the shelter, and then adopted by a man in another town. That man returned him because "he didn't get along with my dogs", and Boon sat for another month at the shelter before we found him...that was Easter Sunday, 2008. 🙂
Boon was clearly destined for great things with you. Best shelter rescue story ever!

I have a website for my business and used the link from the media library through there, so not sure why it's not working.
Sorry for the inconvenience! The technical reason your hosted images will not display here is that SSL is not properly implemented for your website domain, and Tripawds only serves up secure content.
To get the coveted green padlock in user browsers that Google loves so much, we implement a mixed content filter that will convert http URLs to https for secure delivery of all content on any page here.
Since your domain does not have an active SSL certificate installed, the image link breaks when served up securely.
This is not to say that your website is necessarily insecure, only that no SSL certificate is configured with the https protocol forced to display secure content in the browser.
FYI: Most web hosts offer free shared SSL Certificates through Let's Encrypt, and the Really Simple SSL plugin is an easy way to configure SSL and implement a mixed content filter for WordPress sites.
This is why we offer free Tripawds Blogs , for anyone who needs to securely host images for sharing here in the forums...
Hope this helps!
PS: Not that you asked, but in case you are not aware, you're website is also having an issue rendering certain shortcodes. Please feel free to send a Private Message if you require web development assistance.
