Last night my husband and I noticed that Marshall seemed off balance at times and this morning when he came out of his crate he fell and did a face plant. He even seemed stunned. He hasn't had any balance problems on 3 legs and last night he feel off couch when laying on it and going to move. I know that we are more alert to his every move since Mondays X-rays but I know that this would send a red flag even without them. Any ideas what could be going on?
Hmmmmm......any ear issues going n? Inner.ear could certainly cause some vertigo/balance issues. Perhaps some wax has hardened and fallen in his canal...or even some debris.....jist some thoughts.
Now this sounds crazy, but could it be the "legs going to sleep...foot going to sleep"" like happens with humans .....blocing the circulation.
One more thing....could possible be a tick borne infection...that can certainly cause weakness, lameness, etc.
Keep us posted on that sweet boy!
LOVE!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Good thinking! Thanks Sally! I will have to keep an eye on it and see if it continues. Other than that he's his usually clingy sleepy self until nighttime then he's a wild man! By the way the picture of happy Hannah with the bowl in her mouth makes me smile EVERYTIME I see it on the banner! What a sweet face!
It's normal for a front-leg Tripawd to have an occasional face plant, but if this continues today I would start making notes of when and how it happened, and let your vet know. Watch his eating and energy level to see if it coincides with the wobbliness. Keep us posted OK?
