Hi all,

I’m new here. My three year old amputee dog Kuma has osteosarcoma. Within the last two days, he’s been having trouble standing/walking. We don’t think it’s another cancerous lesion- possible it’s a muscle pull from running? We are taking him to his vet on Monday.

I'm so sorry about that Paloma. Yes it wouldn't be too unusual for a muscle strain to happen. How long has he been a Tripawd? What's his daily activity like?

For now some strict rest is good, and pain reliever if you have some. Glad he is seeing the vet on Monday please let us know how it goes.

Ditto to all of  Jerry's qiestions and insight.

One thing you might try u til uour appointment  is to ,massage up and down Kuma's spine, neck and shoulder area.  Does he show in sign of tension at any point?  Any tightness?  It is soooo easy for a tripawd to tweak a muscle, especially after too much activity.

Let is know wjat the Bet says, 0kay?

Hugs
