Ok, I've tried to write this three times now but I'm having computer problems so here goes, lol. I got a new vest in for Mav to try and protect his delicate chest area where his missing leg is. I posted a video on facebook so you guys can see just why I need this, mini aussies play just as ruff as the big guys laughing.

Anyway, I got my vest in from Sylmar a couple weeks ago but I really wanted to test it out before I recommended it to you guys. So far so good, Mav can race around in comfort and he doesn't overheat since its open at the top. Jerry, the company owner, was great (good karma with that name). He got back to my email right away and customized it for free, which is great even though I would have paid a whole heck of a lot more for this! This thing is worth its weight in gold for my little Mav and he looks great if I do say so myself smiley.

Maverick is a wonderful miniature australian shepard born with a malformation of the front right radius/ulna, amputation performed on 11/4/13 at 6 months old. Follow his story at mavericksjourney.tripawds.com.

Wow how COOL! That is super crafty, I love what they did. Who knows, maybe there's a new Tripawd market for that company, I might have to give them a ring!

I'm going to eventually feature this in the Gear blog , I'm impressed at how you arrived at this solution. Nice job and kudos to them. Working with great companies makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks for sharing!

It is AWESOME!  I was so impressed with his debut facebook video, ripping it up in his sweet new vest around the yard.  I'm so glad you found a helpful company and one that was willing to customize!  Big kudos there - to you and Jerry!

Now...get back to chasing your sibling, Mav!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Maya got her vest yesterday afternoon.  She is quite happy wearing it and it does not interfere with her movement.  The vest covers the raw spot on her chest perfectly.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Here she is modeling it...

Interesting, it shouldn't be displaying at all based on the image URL provided.  way-confused

Regardless, others can't see the photo. This may be due to permissions settings on the DropBox folder. Just guessing, but that might explain why is displays for you. way-cool
