That's a kick in the gut and just knocks the breath out of you, that's for sure.
It is soooo important to remember thst Chance didn't hear that he has mets!! Chance does not care what xrays show!! AND he is absolutely sympton free!! I certainly understand how hard itnis to remind you if these things from Chance's perspective, but his perspective is really all that matters!
I know its really, really hard to "ignore"'those xrays, but you must. To do otherwise would let that piece of crap disease interfere with your time together. To do otherwise would let it rob you of continuing to make happy treasured memories together.
One thing we can all tell you with absolute certainty...it's "not time" today and it's "not time" tomorrow. You just take one day at a time and make today better than yesterday, and make tomorrow better than today! You make EVERYDAY the best day ever! That's where yiu need to keep your focus!
Now go look at that happy dog and give him a big smooch! Did that make his tail wag??? See thst hsppy wagging tail? Yeah, NOTHING has changed in Chance's world and he's not going anywhere anytime soon!!
Okay, we'll be waiting for pictures to see how Chance is hsving the best day ever!!
Hugs and love

I'm so sorry Patricia. Not at all what I was expecting to hear with Chance having a sore leg.
I know its hard not to let your mind go to the 'end' but it is really important to focus on the fact that Chance is here now and feeling good. Many pups have gone on for months with lung mets.
When my Pug Maggie was diagnosed with her second cancer I did not ask for a prognosis. I defined what her minimum life quality looked like so I would know when I had to make a decision. After that I focused on making every day Maggie's best day and I didn't look to far ahead.
This is hard and intense but there is still time to make wonderful memories with your boy.

I am going to enjoy every moment I have left with this special boyÂ

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Can't wait for the pics of our Chanceypants playing with his friend, Pepperoni! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, Patricia, but full of admiration for your attitude and your determination to celebrate every precious moment.Â
Give him a scratch of those ears, from us, will you? And have fun in Tahoe.
Sending love,
