Car riding safety suggestions

I took Layla (rear amputee 3 weeks out) in my car (a Camry) yesterday, prior to this post surgery she had been riding in my husband's van. I got her in OK, but the car harness we have does not keep her from sliding off the seat when she looses her balance.  She loves car rides, so I want to find a solution.  Anybody have any ideas or products that are helpful?
