Tomorrow is Blumi's 5 month ampuversary, and we'll be celebrating with lots of treats and a walk in the woods. Blumi is doing great, most people need a second look before realizing she is without that spare fourth leg.
Need to buy her booties with a good grip sole, though, as the snow crystals get into her pads, and it's tough lifting up that leg for Mom to remove the snow.
She is as rumbunctious as ever, although she also treats herself to good naps in my bed on a cold winter day.
Wishing all Jewish dogs and their parents a Happy Chanukah

Hoppy ampuversary. What a special day! Even a walk in the woods...
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
