Hi Everyone. It's my 1st time on here since we had to put down our Sadie the weimaraner in October due to Osteosarcoma. We thought tripawds are so special we just adopted a boy tripawd. He was found roaming the streets of Miami with a broken leg that couldn't be fixed. We fell in love with him and now he is ours!! We are looking to buy him a harness. He is a 24 lb jack russell mix and front leg amp. We are looking between the ezydog convert harness and the ruffwear Front Range harness . Do you guys have any suggestions??
Our new boys name is Elvis!
Thanks,
Brian, Ashley, Sophia, Elvis
Welcome back! And super congrats on your new addition....Elvis!!
I adopted my second Tripawd a little over a year ago. She is a rear amp pug mix who weighs about 15 lbs. Elly was hit by a car at 7 months old and her right rear femur was shattered. She came to me at 10 months old, she will be 2 at the end of this month.
I use the RuffWear Webmaster harness for her. I can get her in and out of the truck and help her balance on obstacles. She tends to bolt when startled and I feel confident that the harness will contain her. My quad pug Obie wears the WebMaster front range and it is an excellent harness for him, he weighs around 17 lbs. You can not lift your dog with the front range as you can with the webmaster. I don't have any experience with the ezydog.
One thing to consider when deciding is how much help getting around does Elvis need? I take Elly to a lot of classes and we do work with balance equipment so I really depend on the webmaster to help keep her safe.
Here is a blog post on choosing a harness, it might help you decide.
We need pictures of your boy!!!!

Thank you for the feedback. Elvis is a special boy for sure. He doesn't need much help moving around, he has figured out the tripawd life already. I just am trying to find the best harness to walk him with and make sure that he is comfortable. Sounds like the front range may be the best choice. I still haven't figured out how to put pictures on here because I am not very tech savvy when it comes to that but I am going to keep trying.
Thanks again!

Welcome back Brian, Ashley, Sophia and Elvis! How wonderful you have another Tripawd. Here's a post that may help:

I do agree, for smaller dogs the Front Range is nice. The only issue is there is no handle on top, so it will be a little awkward to hoist him up. But with him being so small, that's probably a non issue. Here's a full review of the Front Range

And here's a post for adding images to the Forums. Holler if you'd like assistance. Can't wait to see 'em.
