Before Trouble was a tripawd, she NEVER sat or laid down in the car. Not even when we had an 18 hour hurricane evacuation. We have a Hyundai Tuscon and I was really apprehensive letting her ride after her surgery. A wonderful friend of ours sent her a big round doggie bed just a few weeks after surgery. I put it in the car, and low and behold she laid down to ride. It hasn't been out of the car since. I am much more comfortable knowing she is laying and stable while we drive.
