Hello,
I am planning on going to DC with my tripawd, who is missing her back right leg, and I plan on walking a lot along the national mall. We usually take her on multiple short walks in a day with lots of breaks, but since we may be far from the hotel at times, there might be times during our trip she may have to walk a lot. Once a year we go on a 2 mile walk (one of the support the shelter ones) and she does fine, but thats once a year and not a whole weekend worth of moving.
Anyway... does anyone have any suggestions for strollers or backpacks to carry her in that have worked best for tripawds?? She is about 40 lbs, and just around 23 inches long.

Hello! I used to live in DC with my tripawd that is the same size as yours. We use the Pet Gear Expedition stroller at least weekly and like it. It's easy for her to get in and out of and comfortable for lounging on walks. I wouldn't recommend going any smaller, especially if your pup is going to be in there for extended periods. We had initially bought the Pet Gear Jogger thinking it would be big enough and could barely squish the dog in there, so away it went.
I do find the wheels are not as nimble as I'd like and my wrists get sore from trying to force the stroller in the right direction, so if your budget allows, I'd encourage you to check out the DoggyRide or something a bit higher end. Otherwise, it's a solid choice and when we bought it, it was the least expensive on the market for that size.
Tina had a great stroller for Manni maybe you could PM her for details?
